About St. Jude Toastmasters

Introduction

Toastmasters International is described as "Making Effective Communication a Worldwide Reality." St. Jude Toastmasters is one of over 100,000 clubs worldwide.

Club History

In early 1980, a few members of the St. Jude Catholic Church explored the possibility of a Toastmaster club to assist parishioners in their public speaking and lectoring skills. In June 1981 the club was chartered by Toastmasters International Past President Bill Miller, DTM..

Since then several people have benefited from the Toastmaster program. They have become confident speakers and leaders in all aspects of their careers and personal growth.
