Tom Roach has assembled some photos over the years (2013 to present) showing the before, during and after of the Sacristy renovation.
The new Sacristy is well-designed with new lighting, painted walls, and new flooring. The Sacristy now has a separate secured area for storing the sacred vessels such as chalices, cruets, ciborium, patens, etc. There is now a central, well-lite, glass enclosed vestment room. No longer are there multiple racks of vestments previously stored in and outside the Sacristy. The new Sacristy has a clergy meditation sitting space next to a Liturgy of the Word library. Previously, the sacred Word and other liturgy books were stored in multiple cabinets and book shelves. Finally, the newly renovated Sacristy has new cabinets and glass-enclosed shelves for storing holy linens, pyxes and other altar supplies. The new cabinet also has an area for a small refrigerator to store the water and wine.
Censers, charcoal, candles, lighters, and other miscellaneous supplies will be setup in the church basement next to the altar server changing area.
