PHOTO ALBUM UPDATE #11 A lot has been done this week.
The bulkhead to hold the speakers has been built and the speakers have been installed. The wiring is just about complete.
The base molding and the crown molding is nearly complete.
The tile wall grouting is about done.
The two wall reliefs, Last Supper and the Baptism of Jesus, have been taken down and are in their new locations.
The new baptismal font area is being tiled.
The wall shelves outside the Sacristy have been installed.
The crucifix is in the process of being suspended above the altar.
The dedication of our new Sanctuary is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the 10:30am Mass. Bishop Michael Fisher will celebrate the Mass and bless our beautiful new Sanctuary.
A new bulkhead was built above the Narthex or the rear of the church's main entrance. This new wall will balance with the bulkhead that was built above the altar. The new rear bulkhead will be used for new lighting and an improved sound system.
The two flags, Vatican and USA were installed as suspended ceiling flags.
The Sanctuary floor tile is complete and has been grouted.
The accent border wall tile was installed and the grouting is nearly complete.
The drywall installation outside the Sacristy entrance is installed.
The beautiful new Altar of Reservation for the tabernacle is here and ready for installation.
Here are the items still pending for completion:
The old limestone altar of reservation will be removed.
A new wood crucifix will be suspended above the altar.
The baptismal font will be moved to the former altar of reservation.
The floor tile in the former baptismal font will be removed and replaced with existing carpet.
The wall wood reliefs of the Last Supper and the baptism of our Lord will be exchanged.
A border oak cap (crown molding) will be installed around the back Sanctuary wall.
New shelves will be installed outside the Sacristy entrance.
The walls outside the Sacristy entrances will be tiled.
Six new oak altar rails will be installed.

The painting is done!
The remaining items for completion of the renovation project:
Complete installing floor and wall tile.
Grout tile.
Build and Install the six new altar rails (each rail is 7' in length).
Build new tabernacle altar on the center high platform.
Remove old tabernacle altar.
Move baptismal font to former tabernacle location.
Move Last Supper wood-carved wall relief to new location.
Move John the Baptist wood-carved wall relief to new location.
Remove floor tile from former baptismal font and replace with existing carpet.
IMPORTANT NOTICE As you know, we will be renovating our church Sanctuary area. The construction began on 6/24.
During construction, daily Mass (Monday – Saturday) and the Tuesday evening novena will be held in Madigan Hall. All Sunday Masses, including the 5 pm Saturday, will be held in the church.
Help us reach our goal for the Sanctuary Renovations The Sanctuary area of our beautiful Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus needs renovation.
