The Office of Priest Vocations invites men in their 20s, 30s, or 40s, who are interested in learning more about the priesthood, to attend a discernment retreat on March 26-28 at Saint John Paul II Seminary and the Washington Retreat House. Led by priests and seminarians of the Archdiocese of Washington, the retreat will be an opportunity to pray and reflect on God’s call, meet priests and seminarians, hear their stories, and learn more about the seminary and priesthood. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Registration is now open at
www.dcpriest.org/young-adults. For more information, please contact the Office of Priest Vocations at 202-636-9020 or vocations@adw.org.
Pray for our St. Jude Seminarian
St Jude parishioner, Br. Andrew (Geoffrey) Rowedder, son of Anthony and Cecilia Rowedder is a 2nd year brother with Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), and is studying at Sacred Heart (Major) Seminary in Detroit Michigan.
Br. Andrew, who is fluent in Spanish, lives with his missionary community at the bilingual parish, Most Holy Redeemer in Detroit, where he assists with parish activities.
He found out about SOLT through volunteering with their high school in Benque Viejo Belize. Br. Andrew graduated from college wanting to improve his Spanish and/or find a strong Catholic community and environment. He said God called him through the relationships of those he worked with, worked for, or lived with.
Please remember Br. Andrew and all those discerning vocations to the priesthood, permanent diaconate or religious life.
SOLT Who We Are
Founded in 1958 by Fr. James Flanagan, the greater family of SOLT is composed of the Clerical Society of Apostolic Life, the Sisters’ Society of Apostolic Life and the SOLT Lay Association. Through the building up of community in prayer, graced friendships and through apostolic service to God’s people we seek to be a profound and radical expression of the union and communion which is at the foundation of the Church.
