On March 11th 45 women gathered for a Day of Recollection to pray and reflect on the Miracle at Fatima and miracles in our lives. The day began with Mass, offered by Fr. Lee. Sr. Mary Bourdon, Head of the Washington School for Girls, gave a wonderful reflection on the miracles of those that inspired the founding of the school. Sr. Mary emphasized how faith and determination inspired these women beyond their natural limits, and that focus of going outside of what seems possible helped found the school and what is instilled in the at risk middle school girls it serves. The day continued with Eucharistic Adoration and Confession thanks to Deacon Nick, Fr. Kosty, Fr. Foggo and Fr. Lee. We viewed a video on miracles and listened to Mary’s Way of the Cross. Each of the women walked away with not only a book on the Fatima Miracles but also a prayer partner to pray for through the end of Lent.
